Into My Father’s House
Playing Time: 80 minutes | Playing Space: 4×3.5 meters, 12×10 feet | Genre: Biographical drama
Into My Father’s House positions six famous women in Christian history juxtaposition to each other in scenes that dilate the consequences of the choices they made in order to serve God and bring their gifts into the world. Each woman apprears as part of a matrix of narratives which are skillfully placed next to each other in order to throw light on the differing hierarchy each woman chose to give to their commitments to themselves, to their children, husbands, the church, society and to God.
The six women represented are: Katarina Von Bora (Martin Luther’s wife), Susannah Wesley (mother of Charles and John Wesley), Catherine Booth (wife of William Booth, both co-founders of the Salvation Army), Hannah Whithall Smith (Quaker author of Secrets of a Happy Christian Life), Fanny Crosby (famed blind hymn writer) and Nell Sunday (wife of evangelist Billy Sunday).
